Conductor of brass bands with 30 plus years experience.
Musical Director of the 1st Old Boys Band (Belfast) since 2003, including appearances at three European Championships (Challenge/B section).
Previously conductor of the 55th Old Boys Band, Agnes Street Band and Laganvale Band. I have also worked with the following bands: CWA Brass, Downshire Brass, Drogheda Brass Band.
I have worked with Ballygowan Concert Flute Band, preparing them for successful contest appearances both in N. Ireland and Scotland.
I was adjudicator for the 2011 Irish Championships in Dublin and have adjudicated at other contests in Northern Ireland.
Current playing activities include Principal Trombone of the Belfast Pops Orchestra and Principal Trombone of Festival Brass.
Currently Head of Music at Belfast High School.
Always interested in helping bands in contest preparation or in developing in general.
